Index of Satellite Case Studies
The satellite interpretation discussions provide short case studies of meteorological and other phenomena using environmental satellite data. These began shortly after GOES-8 became available in 1994 to highlight some of the new capabilities of the "GOES-Next" satellite series. The discussions were later expanded to include examples from polar satellites, other remote sensing data such as radar and in situ observations, and continue to be used for satellite training and demonstrations.
