Very interesting images. I am a colombian meteorologist. In the seventies I worked in the village of Zulia (Norte de Santander) not far from the Catatumbo valley. I am from the interior of the country but one of the things that attracted my attention were the lightnings. I can assure that in one occasion I counted at night hours more than 500 lightnings. At that time we did not have satellite images equipment to confirm this. I returned to Bogota one year later but nobody believed me.
