Use this as a general outline. A solid understanding of the storm propagation mechanisms will allow you to anticipate supercell motion, and as a result, do some true forecasting (models cannot do this, yet). In addition, it might be useful to overlay the supercell motion vectors on satellite imagery to better understand how the various propagation mechanisms may be affecting storm motion.
