One of the missions of the NOAA/NESDIS/StAR/RAMM Branch is to help assess GOES Imager and Sounder data quality. Calibration/validation activities include:
GOES-P Science Test:
- The GOES-P Science Test will be conducted about 5 months after launch, currently expected on 25 February 2010.
- GOES-P NOAA/Science Post Launch Test (PLT)
GOES-14 Science Test:
- The GOES-14 Science Test was conducted 30 November 2009 through 4 January 2010. Data continues to be transmitted and collected until GOES-14 will be put into storage mode.
- GOES-14 NOAA/Science Post Launch Test (PLT)
GOES-13 Science Test:
- The GOES-13 Science Test was conducted 7 through 28 December 2006. Data continued to be transmitted and collected until GOES-13 was put into storage mode on 5 January 2007.
