COMET NPOESS/GOES-R Training Resources Development Workshop: D. Hillger participated in a workshop held 12-14 May in Boulder CO to discuss training ideas for data and products from NOAA’s future satellites. Presentations were given by many NOAA and NWS offices, and breakout sessions were used to flesh out ideas. Agency interactions were helpful in prioritizing training needs, for both requested products and available products that are underutilized. A personal interaction with Gary Hufford of the NWS in Alaska confirmed the need for volcanic ash image products initially provided by CIRA during the Mt. Redoubt eruption. (D. Hillger)
