The series of articles "Un-Manned Satellites on Postage Stamps" published in Astrophile has resulted in the Bernice Scholl Award for both 2004 and 2005 from the Space Topic Study Unit of the American Topical Association (ATA).

The authors are proud to have contributed greatly to the new hardcover book From Weather Gods to Modern Meteorology: A Philatelic Journey, published by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO-No. 1023, 2008, 112-pages, ISBN 978-92-63-11023-7). The material in the book was expertly compiled by Raino Heino of the Finnish Meteorological Institute from his 128-page exhibit, which has been rewarded by Gold medals in international philatelic exhibitions. See the WMO publications catalog or the WMO online store for ordering information.
