MCSR = Multiple Comet Sample Return satellite, a mission that was canceled.
The IK-1 series includes IK-1, 4, 7, 11, 14, and 16, all of which have a ds-u3-ik bus, as noted on the IK-series reference images page.
See here for a list of engraved/lithographed Russian definitive pairs known to exist with satellite overprints.
Not Vanguard-2; rather, according to the Michel catalog, East Germany 370 shows "Künstlicher Erdsatellit Sputnik I, Teil der Erdkugel, Mond" which translates to "Artificial Earth satellite Sputnik I, part of the Earth, Moon". Note that this stamp was issued 1957-11-07 which is before any Vanguard satellite was launched.
The World Telecommunications Day (WTD) commemorates the founding of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in 1865. It has been celebrated each year on 17 May since 1969. In 1975, a unknown-identity/fantasy-design satellite appeared on several 7th WTD postal items.
Three-axis stabilization is a method of spacecraft attitude control in which the spacecraft is held fixed in the desired orientation without any rotation. This design is now common for communications satellites, often with large solar panels on each side of the spacecraft.
Spin-stabilization is a method of spacecraft attitude control in which the usually cylindrical spacecraft is held fixed in the desired orientation using rotation. This design was common for communications satellites, with solar cells around the perimeter of the cylinder.
Marsnet: A Mars orbiting communications and navigation satellite constellation, a mission that was canceled.

This is a place for philatelic items of interest that otherwise are of unknown-identity, fantasy-design, or canceled satellites on satellite launch covers.
