Radarsat-2Envisat

This page contains philatelic information on the Radarsat, Envisat, Resurs, Okean, Sich, and Almaz (and other non-US environmental-observing satellites). Catalog numbers, years of issue, and notes on the satellites featured are given when available. If readers know of additional information or images, please contact the authors using the e-mail addresses at the bottom of this page.

Early Okean spacecraft also had Kosmos designations, but since all of them had environmental observing as their primary mission, philatelic items referring to them are shown in this page only.

1Sich was an Earth-orbiting environmental-observing satellite. One side of the coin shows the satellite above the lunar surface, but that is incorrect. Sich was never anywhere near the Moon.
2Later Almaz reconnaissance satellites only, not earlier Almaz space stations.
3Ofeq military/reconnaissance satellites are included because of the similarity of Ofeq-3+ to EROS.
