1Kosmos-318/381 (Ionosfernaya-1/2) were similar to Nadezhda, but lacked the omni-directional antenna for COSPAS/SARSAT.
2A good depiction of a conical/omni-directional antenna like that on Nadezhda is seen as a detail of a Venera satellite on a stamp issued by Togo in 1978 (Scott C344).
