1Kosmos-318/381 type (Ionosfernaya) were similar to Nadezhda, but lacked the omni-directional antenna for COSPAS/SARSAT.
2A good depiction of a conical/omni-directional antenna like that on Nadezhda is seen as a detail of a Venera satellite on Togo C344.
